Billings, MT : Garryowen woman killed and 2 other people injured in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 87 south of Lockwood on Sunday, February 21, 2016

A 35-year-old Garryowen woman died and two other people were injured in a rollover crash on U.S. Highway 87 south of Lockwood.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Michelle Frost says the SUV went into a ditch at about 7:25 a.m. Sunday. It rolled and struck a tree before coming to rest on its wheels.

A 21-year-old woman from Crow Agency and a 28-year-old man from Columbus were injured after being thrown from the SUV during the crash.

The victim remained in the SUV. She was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Her name has not been released.

The crash remains under investigation. The patrol said it's not clear yet who was driving.
