GAINESVILLE, TX : Pregnant suspect hospitalized after police chase ends in crash on Tuesday, 19th December 2023

A pregnant woman is in the hospital after allegedly leading officers on a police chase in a stolen vehicle before crashing in Gainesville, the Cooke County Sheriff's Office said.

According to the sheriff's office, Denton County law enforcement was in pursuit of a vehicle on northbound Interstate 35 when the pursuit entered Cooke County late Tuesday morning. The sheriff’s office said the suspect eventually struck another vehicle and crashed in the area of I-35 and Hockley Creek Road – leading to the closure of the northbound lanes.
