Buffalo, NY : Police identify Clarence motorcyclist and passenger injured in collision on Sunday, September 24th 2017
Police have identified the two people on a motorcycle injured Sunday afternoon in a collision with a minivan near Olcott.
Thaddeus T. Bielawa Jr., 75, and Anne G. Bielawa, 72, both of Clarence, were airlifted to Erie County Medical Center after the crash. Thaddeus Bielawa, who was driving the motorcycle, was listed in guarded condition, while Anne Bielawa was listed in stable condition, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said.
Both were ejected from the motorcycle after the driver of a minivan heading east turned in front of them on West Lake Road (Route 18) shortly before 2 p.m. the Sheriff's Office said.
The driver of the minivan was identified as John E. Thrasher, 78, of Ontario, Canada. The four minivan occupants were not injured, the Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office did not say whether charges had been filed, but said the investigation was ongoing.
