Monett, MO : Joplin man hurt in wreck near Mt. Vernon early Sunday, January 29, 2017
A Joplin man was injured early Sunday in a wreck at 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 44 at the 51.8 miler marker, four miles east of Mt. Vernon.
According to a Missouri State Highway patrol report, Keenan Page, 29, of Joplin, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound when his vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
Page suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
He was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle suffered minor damage.Harper suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin.
He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
At 8:56 p.m., Harper was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was released for medical care.
