MANATEE COUNTY, FL : Four injured in Manatee County crash
Two adults and two children were sent to three different hospitals following a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.
According to reports, Vladimir Cherenfant, 33, of Bradenton, was traveling south on Bayshore Road, approaching the intersection with U.S. 41 in his Chrysler 300 about 9 p.m., when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road and struck a guardrail. The car traveled atop the guardrail and then overturned as it slid off.
One passenger, Zakai Cherenfant, 11, of Palmetto, was thrown from the car onto U.S. 41. He was transported to Tampa General with critical injuries.
Two other passengers in the car, both of Palmetto, were also injured. Latoya Gissendanner, 33, and Alyssa Cherenfant, 2, both suffered serious injuries and were transported to Manatee Memorial Hospital.
Vladimir Cherenfant suffered critical injuries and was taken to the Blake Hospital trauma center.
The accident remains under investigation.
