NEWPORT CENTER, VT : 2 sent to hospital in Newport Center crash on Tuesday, 2nd February 2021

Two people were hospitalized following a head-on crash in Newport Center Tuesday.

It happened around 2 p.m. on Route 100. Police say Tiffany Crandall, 41, of Charleston, was headed south when she tried to pass a plow truck and crashed head-on into a box truck coming the other way. Crandall and the driver of the truck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Crandall was cited for passing in an unsafe manner and driving with a suspended license. Police say it was snowing at the time of the crash and the roads were also snow-covered.
