Phoenix, AZ : Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Bell Road on Thursday, 23rd January, 2020

An unidentified male motorcyclist has been taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a sedan in Phoenix on Thursday.

The collision occurred near the intersection of 43rd Avenue and Bell Road about 5:30 p.m. The motorcyclist was transported to a hospital with serious injuries and the driver of the sedan remained at the scene, according to Phoenix police.

The cause of the collision is under investigation, police say, and the intersection will remain closed while detectives investigate.
