Lincoln, CA : No one injured after Northern California school bus crash into a power pole in Placer County on Wednesday afternoon, March 18, 2015

Six children and a driver were trapped aboard a school bus for more than an hour after the bus crashed into a power pole along a rural Northern California roadway.

No one was injured during the crash that happened after 4 p.m. Wednesday about nine miles northeast of Lincoln.

Footage from a KCRA television helicopter in Sacramento showed power lines and a power pole partially on top of the bus along the roadway.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co. spokeswoman Brandi Ehlers said the utility remotely cut power to the area, but students were kept on the bus until a crew could verify that the lines were dead.

That left about 1,000 customers without power, most in the Newcastle area.

She says power had been restored to most customers.
