Phoenix, AZ : Man dies after 4-car wreck in southeast Phoenix on Wednesday, 5th February, 2020
A man died after a four-car crash Wednesday evening in southeast Phoenix, police said.
At about 4:30 p.m. a Chrysler 300 collided with a black Eclipse driven by a 43-year-old man going east on Southern Avenue near 48th Street, police said.
The collision caused one of the cars to crash into two others traveling west on Southern Avenue, police said.
The driver of the Chrysler, identified by police as 20-year-old Jose M. Gonzales, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A man who was traveling westbound was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. All other injuries were serious but not life-threatening, according to police.
Police said they don't believe impairment was a factor in the crash.
The investigation was ongoing.
