WAUPACA CO., WI : Fatal crash leaves 2 dead, 1 sent to hospital on Saturday, 6th February 2021

Law enforcement reported a fatal two vehicle crash that left two people dead and sent one person to the hospital Saturday around 3:15 p.m.

The Waupaca County Sheriff's Office said the crash happened on USH 45 near Gielow Road in the Township of Lebanon.

According to police, a northbound driver lost control and crashed into a southbound vehicle.

First responders said the southbound driver and northbound passenger both died from the crash. The northbound driver was taken to the hospital by helicopter.

The Sheriff's Office said names are being withheld pending family notification.

This crash is still under investigation. No further information was provided at this time.
