DALTON, GA : 16-year-old charged after 4 killed in Whitfield County park on Saturday, 24th August 2024

Four people were killed at a Dalton park late Saturday night, according to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to shots fired at Pleasant Grove Park around 11:15 p.m. When they arrived, they reportedly found four dead men. The sheriff’s office said the four people killed were a 21-year-old from Dalton, a 19-year-old from Dalton, an 18-year-old from Rome and a 17-year-old from Rome.

The sheriff’s office believes the killings were related to a robbery and that “contraband” was found inside the victims’ car.
