South Lubbock, TX : 1 seriously injured in 5-vehicle crash in South Lubbock on Monday, 19th November 2018

One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after a five-vehicle crash that closed a major thoroughfare Monday afternoon in South Lubbock.

The Lubbock Police Department reported that the crash happened before 4 p.m. on Quaker Avenue north of South Loop 289.

Five vehicles were involved and one person suffered serious injuries.

Southbound lanes of Quaker Avenue just north of Loop 289 were shut down until about 5 p.m. as first responders cleared the scene and police worked to determine what prompted the crash.
