PITTSBURG COUNTY, OK : 74-year-old California man dead after Pittsburg County crash on Thursday, 13th June 2024

Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said 74-year-old Charles Howe Jr. from California died at the scene of a 2-vehicle crash less than two miles south of McAlester on Thursday.

OHP said the crash happened at around 2 p.m. on US-69 in Pittsburg County.

According to authorities, Howe failed to yield oncoming traffic, which caused another vehicle going northbound to crash into him.

The driver of the other vehicle involved was taken to a hospital in McAlester, but has since been treated and released.
